Aerated Bread and Tardis-lite

First in my Regent Canal series. This linocut was based on drawings made while I was at St Martin's School of Art in the mid seventies. The Aerated Bread Company building was demolished in the early 80s to make way for Camdenc Town's Sainsburys store.

The building below is from my Lost Cambridge series. It's the former J Sainsbury. Unlike many of the prints in the series, the building still stands, it is now a Sushi Restaurant. The Tardis-lite police-post, however, dematerialized in the eighties.

Waffles on show @ the Southwest Academy Open

Anyone living in Cambridge in the 70's will remember Waffles. It was pulled down, along with most of the area known as 'the Kite' to make way for the dreary Grafton Centre.

One of two prints by Simon Bor on show at The Southwest Academy Open Exhibition   29th September to 3rd October 2015 at St Stephen's Church, High Street, Exeter
